What are you passionate about?
ECU is a proud participant in the State Employees Combined Campaign (SECC), a state-wide fundraising campaign aimed at strengthening and sustaining North Carolina communities and their citizens.
Our motto Servire means “to serve.” Through the State Employees Combined Campaign, you can serve your community by donating to the charity of your choice, for as little as $1.50 per paycheck. So no matter what it is you’re passionate about, with 777 participating charities available to choose from, this is your big chance to Servire. Your way.

With 777 participating charities eligible for donations, it’s easy to contribute to the cause you care most about, and support your passion. Can’t choose just one? Your donation can be split between multiple charities of your choice, or distributed proportionally between all charities receiving designations. And if you need some help deciding, the SECC Charity Search tool is a fast, convenient way to narrow down your choices– allowing you to search not only alphabetically, but also by geographical region, type of service, and keyword.

The SECC is the only authorized fundraising campaign permitted to solicit charitable contributions in the state employee workplace. The campaign provides employees with the opportunity to utilize payroll deduction to donate to charitable organizations that are accountable, fiscally sound, and committed to improving the quality of life in our region and state. The SECC aligns with ECU’s motto, Servire, as well as the university mission focused on serving others.
